Lactation Consultant - ProHealth Care- .8 FTE- Days
About the Role
Provides support to mothers in breastfeeding their infants. Offers inpatient and outpatient breastfeeding education, support, and care. Manages telephone triage of breastfeeding calls, breast pump rental/sales, nursing bra fitting/sales, and presents prenatal breastfeeding classes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) with a plan to take the IBCLC exam
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
