Lactation Consultant - Night Shift

Role Summary Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of breastfeeding care for antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients, including adolescents and adults. Delivers lactation assistance, education, and support using the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitors the breastfeeding couplet to prevent and resolve issues, fostering an environment supportive of breastfeeding families. Educates patients and staff on all aspects of lactation management to promote optimal health outcomes. Key Responsibilities Develops and delivers high-quality education programs to promote patient and community health across the lifespan. Facilitates staff development based on identified learning needs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's preferred. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in maternal-child health or 1 year in an educational role. Holds valid RN licensure in the relevant state and certifications such as BLS and NRP. IBCLC certification or breastfeeding counselor certification preferred. Additional certifications in lactation consulting are required or preferred.
