Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient lactation support
- Conduct newborn weight checks
- Teach childbirth and breastfeeding education classes one Saturday per month with a flex day off
Qualifications
- RN Preferred
- Current Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) credential at hire
- BLS and AVADE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Requires NRP, PALS and ACLS or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
- International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred; required within 3-5 years of hire
