About the role
Provides guidance to patients, families, staff, and community in delivering education, information and training that responds to individualized needs in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver education, information, and training tailored to individualized needs for patients, families, staff, and the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 4-year/Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breastfeeding education (required).
- Current IBCLC certification (required).
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state (preferred).
Skills
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
