Lactation Consultant

Role: Provides inpatient and outpatient breastfeeding support, including clinical lactation consultations, follow-up, and education for parents, hospital staff, and community members. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive breastfeeding support and counseling to new mothers and families.Coordinate breastfeeding support programs and initiatives to promote successful breastfeeding practices.Contribute to hospital quality improvement efforts and breastfeeding initiatives to enhance care standards.Educate and train hospital staff and community members on breastfeeding techniques and benefits.Provide follow-up care to ensure ongoing breastfeeding success and address challenges. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of lactation and breastfeeding support techniques.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.Experience in clinical lactation consultation or related healthcare role preferred.Ability to coordinate programs and contribute to quality improvement activities.Commitment to promoting maternal and infant health through breastfeeding support.
