Duties

  • Provides operational support to activities who provides support to customers in various scheduled events and functions.
  • Performs duties alone or as a member of a work crew.
  • Responsible for conference room configuration, beginning with organizing tables, chairs, audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup of this furniture/equipment in accordance with established banquet/special event orders and breakdown.
  • Loads and unloads equipment and furniture, moves materials using hand trucks or dollies; stacks and arranges for storage.
  • Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required for the applicable conference/meeting set up.
  • Cleans work area such as carpets, etc. Cleans floors using heavy industrial-powered equipment.
  • Adjusts, cleans, dusts and inserts batteries, etc., in equipment.
  • Washes and replaces conference room fixtures using ladders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2, to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Satisfactory completion of physical examination.
    • Qualifications: Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following Three Months of laborering experience required. Must have the ability use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and, ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervision of each task assigned.
    • Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

    • Three (3) months of laborering experience required.
    • Must have the ability to use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and, ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervision of each task assigned.

    Benefits

    • Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit.
    • Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
    • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
