Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Aid skilled craft workers in setting up work as required.
- Follow instructions given by superintendents, foreman, and other experienced crew members.
- Ensure all duties are performed with a primary focus on safety.
- Keep work areas clean and in an orderly condition.
- Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions, jobsite safety rules, and jobsite policies.
- Monitor the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work activities.
- Inspect subordinate's work for compliance and/or deficiencies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the field and ability to follow and transmit instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment, including electrical, hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement tools.
Requirements
- Constantly move about a construction/industrial site, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Work in a construction environment exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
- Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, and scaffolds to access required equipment/work areas, which may exceed 200 feet.
- Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, uneven surfaces, and noisy/dusty environments.
- Be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction/industrial site.
- Have required tools.
- May require a U.S. Driver’s License.

- Must observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
- May be required to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and a fit-for-duty medical examination.
