About the role
The position is on a service contract with a set (non-negotiable) hourly rate of $17.86/hour. In addition, a Health & Welfare benefit is paid at $6.00/hour.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of all areas of the site facilities.
- Operate and perform simple maintenance on lawn equipment as needed.
- Provide labor support to site projects and upgrades.
- Maintain the grounds of the ROTHR facilities to include cutting grass, trimming hedges, edging, pruning shrubs, planting grass, spreading fertilizer, and application of pesticides.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Applicant must have a minimum of six months combined practical Grounds Maintenance experience.
- Applicant must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.
- If employed an excess of 12 months, the selected candidate must be able to qualify as a Registered Technician for State Certified Pesticide Applicator.
- The selected candidate may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued DoD Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and to obtain any required Export Authorization.
- Qualification preference: Current Registered State Pesticide Applicator. Previous or current security clearance.
- The selected candidate must have the ability to comprehend and carry out the instructions outlined in written procedures with little supervision.
