Responsibilities

  • Participates in grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, string trimming, weeding, pruning and mulching with hand and/or power equipment. Participates in litter and debris collection programs including emptying trash receptacles and replacing plastic liners.

  • Works in Facilities Services at the University of Florida (UF). Serves as the Team Lead for three or more employees. Schedules work outages and coordinates larger projects. Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on plumbing fixtures, as well as gas, vacuum, air, chilled, and heating hot water lines. Detects gas leaks. Installs, maintains, repairs, and replaces sanitary and storm sewer lines. Installs plumbing for laboratory equipment. Maintains supply and discharge piping systems. Installs and maintains sump pumps and repairs or changes out other pumps or compressors. Cleans and maintains the shop and equipment.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for veterinary assistants and volunteers, helping guide daily workflow, support staff development, and maintain a positive, organized, and efficient hospital environment.
  • Provides attentive, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia. Monitors vital signs, manages pain, recognizes and responds to complications, and ensures patient safety throughout recovery.
  • Ensures building, fraternities, and sororities comply with fire code standards. Reviews plans for compliance with currently adopted codes. Reviews fire alarm activity logs to ensure proper maintenance in accordance with UF programs.
  • Recruits, onboards, and supports a dynamic student workforce. Collaborates with campus partners to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Manages human resources, payroll, and administrative operations. Helps recruit, onboard, and support a dynamic student workforce while collaborating with campus partners to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Performs custodial duties within the residence halls. Provides community-oriented and well-maintained facilities.
  • Manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors and builds lasting relationships through thoughtful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Connects donor passions with impactful opportunities across research, education, and patient care.
