Responsibilities
- Cleans lab supplies and glassware
- Cleaning and disinfection of the micro lab spaces
- Environmental monitoring of the manufacturing floor and the Controlled Access Room
- Preparing media for all associated testing, and the associated quality checks, as well as sterilization of testing utensils
- Building panels/dispensing bottles
- Operating glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves
- Creating label files from templates
- Aiding with the removal and disposal of waste chemicals
- Creating solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications
- Providing training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures
- Demonstrating the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Fulfilling client housekeeping and safety policies and procedures
- Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum Education/Experience: High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline
- Basic Skills: Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, must be detail-oriented, strong time management skills required
- Proficient/Working Skills: Proficiency in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic, proficiency in MS Excel is required, education in laboratory procedures and techniques or equivalent work experience is required, strong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills, aseptic skills and accuracy required in performing tests
