About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician I to join our team in Austin, TX or Taylor, TX. This position is open for both internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Run samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
  • Perform tasks such as sample login and tracking, material and kit handling, proper disposal of hazardous waste, reviewing data, and reporting results to the customer.
  • Support the lab team through labware washing, transporting samples between labs, entering test results into data management systems, filling bottle kits, following SOPs, preparing samples, sample login and management using LIMS, analyzing semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay, routine waste disposal, preparing high quality standards for instrument calibration, standardizing titrants, calibrating analytical instruments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality.
  • Attend all Safety Meetings.
  • Analyze and gain insights from analytical data.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experiences.
  • Able to adapt to teamwork environment.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture.

  • Highest level of education as stated above.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

$22.00-$23.00 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible to work overtime as needed during staffing shortages and flexible to work night shifts.
