Laboratory Technician I
About the role
Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving. Responsible for receiving and storing reagents both in the facility and in LabVantage. Responsible for inventory management. Responsible for post-analytical processes, including sample disposition and archive sendouts. Contributes to laboratory maintenance, as assigned. Interfaces with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen inquiries and requests. Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies. Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies. Assists department as needed with routine operations. Supports Eurofins DPT's business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0 – 2 years of experience
- New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong Communication Skills and analytical skills
Pay & Schedule
- Compensation: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 3:00pm-1:30am
