Laboratory Technician I

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, such as Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
• Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed ISO/IEC 17025, cGMP, GLP, and company requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in at least one core method and ability to conduct at least one other assigned method with minimal supervision.
• Operate all required basic lab equipment within the department.
• Set up batches of samples to weigh and weigh samples.
• Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments, including preparing samples for analysis, using appropriate methods, and applying data reduction techniques.
• Maintain a neat and accurate record system, keeping daily records and quality control tests, and entering data into eLIMS.
• Identify the need for rechecks on samples and prepare solutions for daily testing.
• Report method/matrix/analytical difficulties and propose solutions to Department Leader or supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary methodologies and promote ethical business practices.
• Respond to client, staff, and co-worker queries and needs.
• Stay updated on technical, industry, and business advancements and trends.
• Recommend improvements to laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
