Laboratory Technician I

About the role

Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving. Interfaces with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen inquiries and requests. Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving
• Responsible for receiving and storing reagents both in the facility and in LabVantage
• Responsible for inventory management
• Responsible for post-analytical processes, including sample disposition and archive sendouts
• Contributes to laboratory maintenance, as assigned
• Interfaces with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen inquiries and requests
• Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies
• Assists department as needed with routine operations
• Supports Eurofins DPT's business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0 – 2 years of experience
• New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong Communication Skills and analytical skills

Pay

$19.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule

Wednesday-Saturday 10:00am-8:30pm
