About the Role
Responsible for assisting and performing a wide range of chemical and physical analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. Operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions in the processing of industrial or consumer products.
Responsibilities
- Work in a laboratory environment where chemical odors may be encountered
- Perform assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties
- Collect data, document test results, and assist in preparing reports
- Complete and analyze all samples accurately (water, solid, etc.)
- Perform and complete various technical projects in the laboratory
- Inventory and order lab supplies as needed
- Follow written lab procedures manual and update manual if changes in procedures are made
Requirements
- Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school
- Minimum two years related experience
- Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Skills & Abilities
- Computer Skills: Strong background in MS Office applications required
- Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible
- Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly
