Laboratory Technician
What You'll Be Doing
- Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete
- Perform laboratory testing including:
- Moisture Content
- Sieve Analysis
- Atterberg Limits
- Proctor Compaction
- Consolidation
- Direct Shear
- Compressive Strength
- Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager
- Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards
What You Have
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to follow procedures and contribute to team success
What Will Make You Stand Out
- 1 year of experience in a similar lab or materials testing role
- ACI or WAQTC certifications
- Coursework or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or geology
- Preferred Certification(s): ACI – Concrete Field Testing Technician, WAQTC – Soils, Aggregate, or Asphalt
Pay & Schedule
Compensation: $18-20/hour (depending on experience)
Location: Meridian, ID
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (schedule may vary)

Requirements

Qualifications
Experience in a similar lab or materials testing role, ACI or WAQTC certifications, coursework or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or geology, and preferred certification(s) are all desirable qualifications for this position.
