Laboratory Technician

• Duties/Responsibilities:
• Experimental:
• Lead laboratory support activities, including preparing and maintaining reagents, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and organizing lab spaces.
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure efficient usage of laboratory resources.
• Assist in the execution and documentation of laboratory experiments and analytical assays under the supervision of scientists to develop and study bioprocess filtration and chromatography operations, as needed.
• Manufacturing Support:
• Support manufacturing of EZ GPT Kits through Quality Control testing and reporting.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding Good Documentation Practices.
• Attend and contribute to group meetings on a regular basis and provide written monthly status updates.
• Absorb shipments of equipment for studies as necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or similar scientific discipline.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is strongly desired.
• Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 laboratory is required.
• Experience in a GMP or GLP environment is a plus.

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

• Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay

The base compensation range for this role is $22-26/hour. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
