Responsibilities
- Oversee adherence and enforce all compliance policies within the engineering lab spaces.
- Work in the Engineering Product Support lab prioritizing multiple assignments and functions in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Prepare facility work orders, information technology (IT) orders, material vendor purchases and track and manage test equipment utilization and movement.
- Conduct weekly and quarterly lab self-assessments to ensure labs are operating in a safe and compliant manner.
- Perform periodic verification of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) lab bench mats as per company guidelines while documenting results on an online database.
- Support both internal QA audits and outside audits for DCMA and ISO AS9100. Assist with deficiencies as required to close out corrective actions.
- Aid in technician activities for programs and engineers by providing basic engineering supplies such as cables and other related hardware items.
- Perform repairs on both deliverable and non-deliverable product such as Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA’s) and sub-assemblies.
- Able to read and interpret electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble or repair engineering test fixtures with both electro and mechanical skills.
- Supports the rework or build of test support or systems cables.
- Use a Digital Voltmeter to measure / verify installed CCA components and perform continuity checks on cabling or follow circuit traces.
- Document the following: Rework and non-conformances in a controlled database. Regular lab safety and compliance reports including close out on any deficiencies in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Technical trade school
- At least 2-3 years related work experience
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Must be able to lift 20-40lbs
- Requires an electro/mechanically oriented individual with experience interpreting drawings, standards and specifications as well as procedures and work instructions.
- Familiar with the operation of various types of basic and advanced test equipment such as and not limited to oscilloscopes, function generators, attenuators, terminations, etc. to be able to accommodate Engineering needs in labs.
- Proficiency in standard and industry-related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Work with minimal supervision in a high paced Engineering environment.
- Able to multitask and work efficiently to support program milestones
- Secret clearance – eligible
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory control both physically and within a database
- Experience executing to engineering test procedures
- Ability to understand and operate RF test instruments
