Laboratory Tech III

About the role

Performs a variety of physical and chemical testing safely using instrumentation and wet chemistry. Records and maintains accurate data using provided data sheets and entering data into LIMS. Complies with all applicable laboratory and safety procedures. Ensures all work areas are kept clean, neat, and organized. Troubleshoots instrumentation problems and testing issues as needed. Works in a team environment to complete all laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing using analytical instruments and wet chemistry methods.
• Record and maintain accurate data on provided data sheets and in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
• Comply with all laboratory and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, neat, and organized work areas.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation problems and testing issues.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to complete laboratory testing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
• Working knowledge of analytical instruments and physical/chemical testing.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Advanced math and computer skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to differentiate between color differences during testing.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
• Experience troubleshooting analytical equipment.
• Experience testing explosives.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $46,898 – $75,035. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
