Summary Of The Lab Support Technician (LST I) Role The Lab Support Technician I provides essential support within the laboratory, handling reports, data, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations. They are responsible for accurately acquiring and processing laboratory specimens using professional and safe methodologies, while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and adhering to lab policies. The role includes processing, transporting, and referring all types of laboratory specimens and reports, delivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Additionally, the technician completes departmental checklists, demonstrates competency through supervision, and upholds the organization’s mission, values, and service standards.
