Laboratory Support Tech

Responsibilities

• Specimen preparation for testing
• Centrifuge maintenance & electrical checks
• Temperature charting
• Pipette maintenance & calibration
• Locating specimens on pending lists

Requirements

• Two (2) years of phlebotomy experience with all age groups
• One year registration experience (may be concurrent with phlebotomy experience)
• Active Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized agency
• Associate's Degree in a health care related field such as biology, microbiology, chemistry, or health science
• Medical Laboratory Science student in at least their third (3rd) year of studies
• One (1) year laboratory related experience preferred
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications and office equipment preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate preferred
