About the role
The position supports our AP FISH specialty and is based in the Immunohistochemistry department. A sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement may be available.
Responsibilities
- Experience in clinical FISH technical procedures and analysis
- Familiarity with complex FISH equipment
- Advanced microscopy skills
- Hands-on proficiency in imaging and excellent troubleshooting skills
- CG(ASCP) or MB(ASCP) certification preferred
- Professional relations, motivation, organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Workbench-level tasks as needed
- Supervision and oversight of laboratory operations
- Assistance with operational and administrative functions
- Delegation of responsibilities to qualified personnel
- Ensuring compliance with ARUP policies and procedures
- Effective communication and problem resolution
- Monitoring and managing workforce performance
- Ensuring competency assessments and training
- Ensuring proper testing and reporting
- Ensuring a safe laboratory environment
- Implementing and validating new methodologies
- Providing technical expertise and support
- Reviewing and handling complaints
Requirements
Must have experience in clinical FISH technical procedures and analysis, familiarity with complex FISH equipment, advanced microscopy skills, hands-on proficiency in imaging and excellent troubleshooting skills. CG(ASCP) certification and/or MB(ASCP) certification is strongly preferred.
