About the role
Step into the fast-paced laboratory world at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where Laboratory Technologists are redefining the limits of science and medicine. As the Laboratory Supervisor for Hematology in the Automated Lab, you'll lead an expanding and dynamic team of dedicated professionals working the Hematology bench.
This is a day shift position working Monday - Friday plus alternate weekends & rotating holidays, with supervisory coverage extended to other shifts as inherent in a leadership position. The location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of laboratory professionals in the Hematology bench within the Automated Lab.
- Provide leadership and extend supervisory coverage to other shifts as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years clinical laboratory experience.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent curriculum.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education Department.
Qualifications
Preferred Criteria:
- Master's degree.
- ASCP certification.
- Chemistry knowledge a plus.
- 3 years of laboratory supervisory experience.

Pay
Salary Range: $140,000-$174,000/Annual
Schedule
- Day shift: Monday - Friday plus alternate weekends & rotating holidays.
