Laboratory Supervisor - Core Lab

About the role

Plans, organizes, and oversees laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, quality control, and safety policies. Responsible for staff management, including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling personnel. Maintains inventory, prepares procedures, and manages budgets. Performs bench work when needed and ensures test accuracy and timely results. Acts as inspector for CAP and participates in laboratory rounds and student rotations.

Key Duties

• Ensures staff adherence to policies and standards
• Schedules work, reviews test performance, and maintains qualified staff
• Maintains regulatory compliance and accurate documentation
• Monitors quality control, manages inventory, and orders supplies
• Performs preventive maintenance and ensures safety protocols
• Creates and updates manual procedures in line with accreditation requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of Medical Technology experience
• MT or MLS (ASCP) certification
