About the role
This position performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments related to the bacterial pathogen Staphylococcus aureus. The laboratory focuses on the adaptation and evolution of S. aureus during infection.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports.
- Maintains inventory, orders supplies, and logs activities.
- Writes manuscripts and grant proposals.
- Prepares data visualizations.
- Assists with manuscript preparation and grant proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Bacteriology or Molecular Biology.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with protein purification and/or animal models of infection is preferred.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Minimal supervision required.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry equipment or supplies up to moderate weights, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions during laboratory procedures.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
