Responsibilities
- Performs variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures for use in diagnosis.
- Serves as clinical resource for trainees, MLTs, and postgraduate physicians.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
- MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT) must be completed within six months of employment date.
- Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT) must be completed within six months of employment date.
- Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory.
Skills
No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
