About the Role
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Scientist for a contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent) position in a clinical laboratory with one of our biotechnology partners in St. Louis, MO. Candidates must be currently local to the St. Louis area and able to attend an on-site interview.
Pay
Target pay rate:
- 1-2 years of experience processing human samples: $29-31/hour
- 3-6+ years of experience processing human samples: $32-37+/hour
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform CLIA high-complexity lab tests following established procedures.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including validation protocols and reports.
- Conduct analytical validation experiments for assays in various development stages.
- Perform QA/QC on test results and data.
- Monitor QC through data trends, shifts, and delta checks.
- Manage inventory of reagents and supplies.
- Assist in developing biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.
- Maintain accurate records and report results using MS Office and databases.
- Write and update SOPs, ensuring adherence to safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a hard science such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Physics is required.
- ASCP certification is preferred, but not required.
- 1+ years of professional laboratory experience handling human samples is required.
- Experience with immunoassays, chromatography, or mass spectrometry is a plus.
- Experience in a high-complexity testing CLIA lab is highly desirable.
- Experience with human biological specimens and biosafety procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
