Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of laboratory tests, from simple blood analyses to complex diagnostic procedures.
  • Operate and maintain advanced electronic and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure quality control and assist physicians in test selection.
  • Escalate abnormal results and stay informed on field developments through literature and seminars.
  • Maintain safety and proper storage of hazardous materials.
  • Support proficiency testing programs.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • No prior experience required.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with electronic equipment.
  • Ability to interpret test results.
  • Effective communication with healthcare providers.

Certifications

  • Required professional licenses include Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or specialized technologist licenses, depending on the state.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
  • High visual, auditory, and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and climbing.

Schedule

Weekend shifts, 24 hours per week.
