About the role
The Laboratory Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment in laboratory settings. This includes conducting safety inspections, training staff on safety protocols, and responding to emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections of laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Train laboratory personnel on safety procedures and best practices.
- Respond to and manage laboratory emergencies, including spills and chemical exposures.
- Document all safety incidents and maintain records as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., chemistry, biology).
- At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and laboratory safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic computer literacy.

Pay
