Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures.
- Crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
- Maintains detailed, accurate, and timely data records and laboratory notebooks.
- Oversees specimen inventory, ordering, and lab and chemical inventory.
- Prepares data, graphs, tables, and charts to document experimental results for publication.
- Contributes to manuscript and grant proposal preparation, performs literature searches, summarizes findings for reports and written documentation.
- Consults with researchers and staff regarding laboratory procedures and experiments.
- Develops recommendations and problem resolutions to improve research efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
- Physical Effort: Minimal
Qualifications
- Ability to perform a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments.
- Ability to analyze experimental data, interpret results, compile findings, and prepare reports and summaries.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate, and timely data records and laboratory notebooks.
- Ability to oversee specimen inventory, order supplies, and manage lab and chemical inventory.
- Ability to prepare data, graphs, tables, and charts to document experimental results for publication.
- Ability to contribute to manuscript and grant proposal preparation, perform literature searches, summarize findings for reports and written documentation.
