Essential Functions
- Performs routine laboratory maintenance and research activities including: general housekeeping, wipe tests, ELISA assays, preparing solutions, media, stains, and buffers; cultures and specimens; autoradiograms and photomicrographs.
- Executes biochemical procedures such as: electrophoresis, blotting, chromatography, and DNA extractions, etc.
- Performs advanced laboratory research activities such as: animal surgery, microscopy techniques, imaging techniques, recombinant DNA techniques, protein purification and hybridizations, etc.
- Compiles and analyzes research data using various relevant computer software applications.
- Aids in literature research, editing, and preparing manuscripts, scientific illustrations, and computer graphics for publication.
- Assists in training and guiding students and/or other laboratory personnel; assists in developing policies, procedures, and methods for laboratory experimentation; orders supplies.
Physical Effort
This is primarily a sedentary position. However, there will be some walking between collaborative laboratories.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00

On-Campus: Teams that work on campus, in an office, or in a lab.
