What You'll Do
- Calibrate, maintain and repair scientific instrumentation - disassembling, examining, cleaning, testing and servicing specialised equipment, systems and controls.
- Operate test equipment including multimeters, frequency generators, counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes and oscilloscopes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during both scheduled and unscheduled work, recording and reporting out-of-tolerance conditions and initiating corrective action.
- Cook up and track instrument and part reliability, recommending alternative service, suppliers and parts.
- Document and report daily inspections, maintenance activity and repairs, and support the development of equipment, maintenance and calibration procedures.
What You'll Bring
- A High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience (a combination of experience and education will also be considered).
- Hands-on experience calibrating, maintaining and repairing scientific or precision instrumentation.
- Working knowledge of standard technical principles and test equipment.
- Any required licences or certifications where mandated by law.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
