Laboratory Director

About the role

The Laboratory Director oversees all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the laboratory including quality control and safety protocols.
• Develop and implement new testing procedures and technologies.
• Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff to optimize diagnostic outcomes.

Requirements

• M.D. or Ph.D. in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in laboratory management.
• Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
• Ability to manage a team effectively.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
