Laboratory Director

Overview

The Laboratory Director oversees the daily operations of an Environmental laboratory at ALS. ALS is a global organization that combines scientific testing and data-driven insights to create a healthier future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Environmental laboratory
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Manage and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and analysts
• Develop and implement quality control procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely results
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in laboratory management
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of environmental testing methods and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
