Laboratory Coordinator III
About the role
The Laboratory Coordinator III position will be responsible for conducting molecular and immunological studies required for cancer prevention vaccine development, including immunogenicity assays, MHC tetramer staining and cell sorting, antigen-reactive T-cell discovery and characterization, molecular cloning, and MHC genotyping, among other related tasks.
The individual will also contribute to the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory. In addition, the position will involve overseeing reagent procurement, ensuring laboratory safety compliance, and assisting with general laboratory management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct the molecular and immunological studies required for cancer prevention vaccine development, including immunogenicity assays, MHC tetramer staining and cell sorting, antigen-reactive T-cell discovery and characterization, molecular cloning, and MHC genotyping, among other related tasks.
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.
- Oversee reagent procurement, ensuring laboratory safety compliance, and assisting with general laboratory management responsibilities.
Requirements
Experience with Western Blotting, DNA/RNA isolation, Molecular Cloning, CRISPR, PCR/RT-PCR, mammalian cell culture, microscopic imaging techniques, mouse models, EliSPOT and other immune assays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of Western Blotting, DNA/RNA isolation, Molecular Cloning, CRISPR, PCR/RT-PCR, mammalian cell culture, microscopic imaging techniques, mouse models, EliSPOT and other immune assays.
