Laboratory Coordinator FSED

Coordinates technical and non-technical departmental activities on assigned shifts, under the supervision of a department supervisor, manager, or director.

Responsibilities

• Technical discipline areas, specimen handling (collection, processing, referral testing)
• Performing technical and non-technical duties as required
• Coordinating quality control and scheduled equipment maintenance
• Personnel training and regulatory inspection preparation
• Scheduling
• Supporting the department Manager/Director in achieving goals related to service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, a healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities

Requirements

• 3-5 years as a medical technologist
• 3+ years experience in applicable area, potentially with administrative oversight
• 2 Year/Associate Degree in Science or equivalent
• 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
• National Certification for MLS or MT
• Tennessee State License (and/or)
