Laboratory Assistant II

Principal Responsibilities

• Ensure patient well-being during laboratory procedures.
• Collect and process various specimens as directed.
• Order specimens for testing in the laboratory computer system.
• Perform EKGs and other specified laboratory tests.
• Log and record test results accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding specimen collection and instructions.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and answering the phone.
• Travel to multiple clinic locations as needed.
• Comply with clinic policies and procedures, including incident reporting and customer service standards.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in phlebotomy required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Competency in handling patient testing.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move light loads up to 20 lbs.
• Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Handling heavy workloads and managing competing demands.
