Position Highlights

• Position: Laboratory Assistant II
• Location: Swedish Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 16 hours
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 am–7:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays

About the role

Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers. Perform specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures. Record and document specimen information in the Laboratory Information System. Prepare and track specimens for transport to reference laboratories. Maintain organized records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Maintain and clean laboratory equipment. Assist with inventory control and supply ordering. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience
