The Laboratory Assistant I PRN plays a crucial role in the clinical and anatomic pathology laboratories at Moffitt Cancer Center. They ensure proper handling of all specimens and prepare them for testing under the supervision of lab professionals.

Responsibilities

• Computer data entry and accessioning of orders
• Specimen processing tasks, including centrifugation, aliquoting, slide preparation, packaging, shipment of referral laboratory specimens, and transport and delivery of specimens to testing departments

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to multi-task in a busy, disruptive environment
• Team player, adaptable to change at a moment's notice
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong oral communications skills and sound reasoning capability based on common sense logic
