Laboratory Assistant - HK - FT - Shift 1

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to the lab by receiving/processing requisitions/specimens and performing specified lab tests according to standard operating procedures.
• Responds to phone requests and enters lab test data into computer.
• Performs phlebotomy functions as well as various clerical tasks of routine and specialized nature utilizing knowledge.
• Cleans laboratory equipment and glassware.
• Affords assistance to technical staff by performing routine duties.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required. Prior medical experience preferred. Previous work experience strongly preferred.

Exposure

Exposed to hazardous environments the course of the work day.
