Laboratory Assistant
Job Description
Piramal Critical Care (PCC), a business unit of Piramal Pharma, seeks a Laboratory Assistant to support the efficient functioning of the Quality Control laboratory.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains laboratory supply inventory to ensure no downtime.
- Properly labels chemicals and reagents.
- Manages reference standards system and orders for the Quality Control department.
- Prepares documentation and chemicals for shipment to third-party laboratories and customers.
- Samples raw materials and packaging components upon receipt.
- Organizes and stores samples according to safety and compliance requirements.
- Organizes QC LAB documents, including qualification, calibration, and validation documents.
- Cleans and maintains laboratory workstations, equipment, and retain room.
- Retains sample management and proper maintenance of GMP documentations.
- Calibrates instruments when necessary.
- Follows SOPs for gas cylinder change-outs and maintains good documentation.
- Writes data summary reports.
- Supports the laboratory with continuous improvement projects.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree in a scientific field preferred.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a GMP laboratory setting.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to work independently.
