Laboratory Assistant
About the role
The Laboratory Assistant will support the Building & Construction Business by performing sample processing and login, supply ordering, billing, customer service, as well as a full range of administrative duties.
Shift/Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 12:30pm

What you’ll do
- Perform sample processing and login utilizing a LIMS
- Receive calls from clients and provide customer service and/or routing to the appropriate technical staff
- Greet and assist clients with sample submissions onsite
- Create various documents, spreadsheets, etc. utilizing Microsoft Office Software. Perform various general office duties including faxing, copying, mailing, filing, etc.
- Assisting with end of month billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Invoice payments
- May assist with developing, updating and/or reviewing local operating procedures and/ or work instructions
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years+ experience in an administrative role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and time frame
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to strictly follow SOPs
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience with a LIMS
- Experience with sample processing
- 1+ years of laboratory experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience and familiarity working with Microsoft Office suite
