Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant for a temporary 13-week assignment to support our efforts in meeting the demands of an increased Cyclosporiasis outbreak. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a large reference laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and specimen accessioning.
• Process stool specimens.
• Conduct stool concentration procedures.
• Stock reagents and supplies.
• Review and enter results.
• Assist with other laboratory duties to maintain workflow and alleviate the burden on technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a biological, medical, or laboratory science.
• Proficiency in operating general laboratory equipment, including telephones, computers, centrifuges, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
• Comfortable working with stool samples and performing specimen preparation and accessioning.

Schedule

This role requires working Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Pay

$22.00 - $22.00 per hour.
