Laboratory Analyst - Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on natural and synthetic minerals from internal and external sources using physical and chemical test procedures
• Assist in sample logging and perform additional tasks as directed by the Laboratory Manager
• Work closely with production and research as well as other team members across the Washington Mills family
• Maintain accurate and complete records of analysis
• Perform calibration of equipment and maintain instruments
• Use instrumental analysis and wet chemistry methods as directed by the Laboratory Manager
• Work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting with other Laboratory team members

Requirements

• Possess an Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science with 3-5 years’ of experience
• Ability to perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
• Good math skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to obtain government clearance upon hire, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

Pay

$48,500 to $55,000 annually
