About the role
The Laboratory Analyst I, Metals is responsible for preparing and analyzing a wide variety of client samples for elemental content using analytical chemistry methodology and various spectroscopic instruments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, standard reference materials, reagents, and/or solutions.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
- Perform and document routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
- Document and record raw data and results of analyses.
- Execute analytical procedures in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
- Follow company Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Adhere to the requirements of the company Quality System and Safety/Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Other duties as defined by supervisor, department needs, and workload.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or closely related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory preferred.
- Experience in a GLP/cGMP and ISO regulated environment preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.

Schedule
Second shift, typically 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, forty hours per week. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Pay
Compensation range: $18–$20 an hour.
