Laboratory Analyst, 2nd shift

About the role

The Laboratory Analyst position is available for second shift hours, requiring availability during 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with training on first shift from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Applies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all areas of responsibility
• Performs routine lab tasks such as sample preparation using standard techniques, performing chemical analysis, calculating data, recording and reporting results, and reporting any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Responsible for general housekeeping in the work area
• Trains on and becomes competent with complex instrumentation including gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems
• Aliquots and weighs samples, washes glassware, and conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry or related field
• Previous production-oriented work experience
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
