About the Role

The Labor Services II professional is responsible for growing and maintaining a medium-size portfolio of union clients, along with developing relationships with prospective clients in the union and professional/small business market by identifying the financial needs of those clients and fulfilling those needs with the wide range of products and services offered by United Business Bank. These products and services may include extensions of commercial and/or real estate credits, demand, savings or time deposit account products, or other services offered.

They are responsible for analyzing a client’s loan request and determining whether a loan is within an acceptable risk within the framework of the Bank’s policy and for preparing the required documents and submitting it for approval. This position is also responsible for providing service to existing client relationships, as well as representing the Bank through involvement in union groups and their related events and activities. The Labor Services II professional provides guidance and mentoring to branch staff and serves as an escalation point when needed.

This position will perform all duties accurately, timely, and efficiently according to Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. They will also assist the Regional Team Lead as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and maintain a medium-size portfolio of union clients.
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients in the union and professional/small business market.
  • Identify the financial needs of clients and fulfill those needs with bank products and services.
  • Analyze client loan requests and determine acceptable risk within the Bank’s policy framework.
  • Prepare and submit required loan documents for approval.
  • Provide service to existing client relationships.
  • Represent the Bank at union groups and related events and activities.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of the union industry, deposit and lending products and services, deposit and/or loan operations and procedures, regulations, and standard banking practices.

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience with unions.
