Labor, Litigation & Compliance Counsel

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Manage global litigation matters from strategy to resolution across jurisdictions
• Lead outside counsel relationships, ensuring alignment on case strategy and costs
• Conduct internal investigations by gathering evidence and interviewing stakeholders
• Develop pre-litigation strategies to minimize risk and enhance outcomes
• Collaborate with business leaders to provide actionable legal guidance
• Strengthen and scale compliance programs including governance frameworks
• Monitor regulatory trends and incorporate insights into risk mitigation strategies

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in a US state or territory
• Minimum of 8 years of legal experience combining private practice and in-house
• Significant litigation experience in governmental, law firm, or tech organizations
• Strong collaboration skills across finance, HR, privacy, IT, sales, and product teams
• Expertise in regulatory compliance, privacy, and technology-related legal issues
• Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments with sound judgment
• Experience managing multiple high-priority matters in a fast-paced setting
