About the role
Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a midlevel to senior associate with four to seven years of employment law experience to join its Employment practice group in the Seattle office.
Responsibilities
- Build a practice and work creatively with clients to find solutions
- Manage internal and external client relationships, take the lead on matters and supervise junior associates
- Draft summary judgment motions and other dispositive briefing, motions to compel arbitration, discovery requests and responses, oppositions to motions for class certification, long-form settlement agreements in wage and hour class/collective actions, separation agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and PIIAs
- Advising and counseling clients on employment law compliance including policies, handbooks, leaves and accommodations, employee performance and discipline, hiring and terminations
- Conducting labor due diligence on M&A deals
Requirements
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal writing skills
- Experience in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions preferably with an AmLaw 100 law firm
- Federal clerkship experience
- Experience in single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, handling wage and hour matters, and client counseling
Qualifications
- Passion for building a practice
- Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships
- Experience in drafting relevant documents
- Experience in employment law compliance
- Experience with labor due diligence on M&A deals

Pay
$260,000 to $420,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
