Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

We are a respected Chicago-based law firm seeking a Labor & Employment attorney to join our growing employment practice.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of employment law experience, including client counseling, policy guidance, employment agreements, workplace investigations, compliance advice, and employment-related disputes.

Responsibilities

• Counsel employers on day-to-day employment issues, including hiring, discipline, termination, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenants, and workplace policies.
• Draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, and related workplace documents.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with or manage workplace investigations and provide practical guidance on employee relations matters.
• Handle employment-related disputes, administrative charges, and litigation support as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide practical, business-oriented advice.
